Abstract

Purpose: The study sought to examine the influence of empathetic response on job satisfaction. Specifically, testing the hypothesis on whether empathetic response has a significant positive relationship with job satisfaction or not.

Methods: Descriptive (frequencies) and inferential statistics (correlation and regression) were performed, and a simple random sampling technique was used to select 108 respondents from a target population of 148 employees.

Findings: The study found that empathetic responses had a positive significance relationship with job satisfaction.

Originality: This study makes a novel contribution to the body of literature on the connection between empathetic responses and job satisfaction, an area that remains underexplored in the Tanzanian context. By addressing this gap, the research adds valuable insights to the global conversation on employee satisfaction, particularly within developing countries

Practical Implications: The findings provide both practitioners and policymakers with actionable insights for fostering positive workplace environments and improving human resource management (HRM) strategies in modern organizations, especially in settings where empathetic leadership and employee satisfaction are often overlooked
