ETHICS
EJSS is committed to adhering to the highest ethical standards at all stages of the publication process. The journal does not accept any unethical practices in research and publishing from authors, editors, or reviewers. To ensure that EJSS and all its stakeholders meet these ethical standards, the following guidelines must be followed:
- Originality of Submissions: Authors are not allowed to submit papers that have been published or are under consideration (at any stage) for publication in other journals.
- Authorship Criteria: A person is recognized as an author only if they have made a significant intellectual contribution to the preparation of the manuscript. Adding the names of individuals who did not contribute substantially to the article’s content is not permitted.
- Authorship Disputes: In case of authorship disputes, editors will refer to the authorship and contributorship flowcharts provided by COPE
- Editor and Reviewer Publication Limits: Editors and reviewers of EJSS are not allowed to publish more than one article per issue of the journal.
- Self-Citation Limits: Excessive self-citation is discouraged. Authors are allowed no more than four self-citations per article. If an author needs to exceed this limit, they must submit a justification to the Editor-in-Chief for consideration.
- Data Integrity: Falsification and fabrication of data are strictly prohibited.
- Plagiarism Policy: EJSS considers plagiarism a serious academic malpractice. All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism checks before being sent to reviewers. A maximum similarity index of 20%, as per Turnitin plagiarism checker, is allowed for any manuscript
